One of my favorite galleries in Portland, the Russo Lee Gallery's curation team always picks amazing art to showcase. Sign up for their email list - after one pop in you're going to want to go back whenever they update the showing.

I haven't spent much time going to galleries, and frankly I sometimes feel a little intimidated when I do. My experience at Laura Russo Gallery helped ease that trepidation. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and patient with my numerous questions. They were happy to pull some pieces out of the back room to show me some of the work that was not currently on display. I was interested to learn the gallery focuses almost exclusively on artists from the Pacific Northwest.

It's a beautiful gallery, and I discovered a number of artists whose work I really responded to. I will definitely be visiting more often!
