I previously worked there as a personal trainer and I can attest that their fitness professionals have the highest quality I have seen, for an even better price than the highest priced.

I have been to luxury gyms like equinox and I can definitely say that RWJ is even better quality for a better price. I am very grateful for the things I learned while working there.

 I must recommend my former bosses Ashley Lion, Patrice Barlics and Chris Barlics are all wonderful people that will get you fantastic results.

What a bunch of SCUMBAGS!!! The management and sales team are only there to pocket the ridiculous $500 "initiation fee" or extortion fee!  They interrogate you like you are doing THEM a favor by looking to join, then tell you that " you seem to be the right fit for the health club, if you join today we will take $150 off the $500"  BIG DEAL!!! Then before you leave them pull the scumbag shady car dealer move..."if you leave now the $150 will not be there if you come back" GOOD...NO INTEREST IN COMING BACK!!

omg they are terrible, only care about taking no your money. Horrible people horrible costumer service. I’m ending my mership with them ASAP. I’ve never ever been so disappointed. Facility looks nice but don’t be fooled by the looks , even after membership fees they will take more money from you with a lot of other things.

Management here is the absolute worst. Don't waste your money.
I have been a member here for years, had a personal trainer for a while (who was awesome) and I kept my membership because it's close to my house and does what I need.

ALTHOUGH, this negative review is solely based on management as they are the reason I am canceling. My credit card was stolen back in January, and once I received my new card I went in immediately to update my account. The girl at the desk was having some issues updating it but in the end told me I'm good to go, it's all updated. WRONG. She didn't update my account, and now I am being told I owe $200+ and fees for declined payments. NOT MY FAULT. Management has not responded to my multiple calls and voicemail's, I send emails- nothing. They are rude and have zero customer service capabilities. I called this morning to be told "member services is really busy, I have to take a message." That was the last straw, I'm done. There are way better and cheaper options around with staff that care about their customers. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Marty Reidy via telephone and then in person regarding my interest in a membership at RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center located in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. He is very friendly and easy to speak with. He patiently answered all of my questions and invited me to come to the facility to take a complete tour. I met trainers and other medical personnel that are staffed around the clock. This center is huge and has something for everyone! I also met the very friendly Hollie R. and John Shell who are part of the front desk reception area staff. The building is clean, safe and well monitored. Thank you Mr. Reidy for signing me up for membership. You are the consummate professional and I appreciate the hard work that you do daily to ensure that all of your members are satisfied! Yes, I joined!  :  )
