Story

The Chef Liz Jackson is the founder of Libby’s Bistro and SAaLT on Main Street in Gorham, New Hampshire. Since 1997 Liz is the creator of a seasonal, locally sourced fine dining worldly menu found tucked in the Northern White Mountains. She has been proudly using the finest locally grown ingredients from farms that specialize in sustainable agriculture, organic farming, and naturally raised livestock.

The funky upscale restaurant is the award-winning bistro where you will find Liz Jackson cooking with her talented staff, as her gracious husband, Steve pours you a creative cocktail, fine wine or help you discover the right craft beer for you. Libby’s Bistro is open to serve you Friday and Saturdays starting at 6pm. Next door, you will find a more casual pub ambiance that is festive. Never disappoints. You will find no better place in Gorham and it is one of my top picks to eat in the Whites and rivals the The Inn at the Mt. Washington Hotel.

Cool little place, good beer and the bartenders are great. Food is modern but kind of rustic, definitely recommend. Make sure you try a dessert.

Totally over rated and self deserving. I've never been in a restaurant that was as pretentious as this. If you are going to display a century old picture of yourself with Julia Child at least dust it. The grease and grime covering this and other artifacts displayed table side was offensive. Now let's talk about the food. Fusion should blend the flavors into a symphony of complimentary enjoyment. We found it quite the opposite where the ingredients selected actually competed with each other. The muscles appetizer as an example smelled like old socks and tasted even worse than the smelled. Service was slow and this is where the pretentiousness was at its best. We are asked to move tables so the could accomodate a larger party. Sure no problem we all get it that's fine. Our waitress cheerfully announced free cookies for you. If course these never came. Price. Sure if you want to spend 13 dollars on a hamburger its the right place to go. I've always chosen restaurants by this guidline. If locals patronize it you probably have a safe bet in trying. I should have stuck to my own tested guidance. No locals and now I know why. I can honestly and gladly say. Never Again.
