Sacramento Country Day is an independent, private, coeducational, college preparatory day school founded in 1964.

Story

Enrolling students in grades PK-12, Country Day has provided the children of Sacramento and the surrounding communities with a first-rate college preparatory experience since 1964, setting the standard for academic excellence among area schools. Located in the Sierra Oaks neighborhood of Sacramento, the school prepares high-achieving, motivated students of good character for admission to the nation’s selective four-year colleges and universities.

In addition to engaging in a rigorous academic program, SCDS students participate enthusiastically in the school’s many offerings in the visual and performing arts, athletics, and community service. As a result, our alumni return to serve their communities as outstanding leaders in the areas of industry, business, medicine, philanthropy, law, education, journalism, and the arts.

Sacramento Country Day School provides a challenging, comprehensive college-preparatory education to students from a variety of backgrounds who demonstrate strong academic potential and good character.
