This place deserves 10 stars! My family had tons of fun. My kids was so excited to pat deer, feed giraffe, goats and birds. Some of the animals have kind of a small space but that is true even for bigger zoos. All animals are close so you don't need to walk to much without seeing animals. We drove 2 hours to get there with a 2.5 year old, we were there 2 hours and we drove back for 2 hours and still think it was worth all the drive. We are planning to ho back for sure. Next time we will stay overnight so we can visit the place twice before heading back home.

We travel from Indiana every year to visit family here. This is a must see for us each year. We have loved it every year and they keep adding animals. It's a beautiful sight to see and I adore the hands on feeding. I saw a negative review based on customer service on the snack bar. That may be...but we certainly don't go for the snacks. The animals are unique and some we don't have at our own zoo so it's awesome to see here. I would highly recommend and it doesn't break the bank to go visit.

safari north is super fun for families and animal lovers, you can feed giraffes and meet other animals in their petting zoo. The parrots are a riot!! They have an interesting variety, the animals are usually pretty visible during the day, so it always feels like a worthwhile experience.

Great place to bring the kids for a few hours. I was really impressed with the amount of animal exhibits and the diversity. Parking was really good and gate prices reasonable. Their snacks on site were much less than you would think. The only downfall is the lack of seating in shaded areas. It can get uncomfortable fast in the sun and half the park lacks good foliage shade etc. Best zoo outside the twin cities for sure!

So many amazing experiences. Its so nice to have them all so close to home. The kids got to pet a deer, feed parakeets, snuggle with a baby camel, feed alligators. We had so much fun!
