The store is fine. A wide selection of items. It has a gas station and is open 24 hours which are nice perks. But they removed the self checkout lanes they used to have which males paying a lot slower now, especially when they often only have 2 cashiers at a time. Why they would do that makes no sense to me. It's like going backwards in terms of service

There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this particular Safeway. Each and every time we have purchased items such as, we arrived home I'll need to find out they have expired. Little things such as bags of candies like jelly beans and licorice are often stale even though the expiry date has not arrived. The store just doesn't look clean. Their produce department has a lot to live up to. Most times, their produce and fruit look old. I can't tell you how many times we've gone to the checkout only to find out only one cashier is available and so you wait and wait and wait. Not to mention that the last three times we were there the cashier ran out of paper and we couldn't get a receipt. Basically, you can't trust their sell-by dates and you can't trust their expiry dates on anything that they sell in this store. It's buyer beware.

Never a good selection. Long lines. Dirty and unhygenic food prep surfaces

It's good enough. Nice wine and beer selection. No automated checkout and weekdays around 5:30 pm to 7 pm the checkout lines can get considerably long.

The store removed the self check out and does not have enough registers open to compensate for the flow of customers. Long lines often. Since the removal of the scanner I haven't been able to walk in to buy one or two items without having to wait in a line. Bring back my self check out.
