Very Disappointing! This store is old & is in dire need of a remodel or to be closed. Limited supply of products. The deli had no roast beef or beef bologna. They don't have any boxed cakes or pies. They don't have a bakery however most stores have fresh goods delivered. When I think of grocery shopping I think of a one stop shop. There is never enough time in a day & I don't have time to go to an additional store to complete my shopping list.

I have mixed feelings here. The store is not the newest but it's nothing dirty either. It just needs some new paint or life brought into it. Food wise has a decent selection, haven't gotten anything that turned out moldy or bad. Meat prices seem pretty good as that is what I have most frequently picked up to cook. Wine like most groceries is overpriced a bit so better off getting that elsewhere or from wholesale club. Staff seems friendly to customers. However, there's been several times I've seen them yelling or being rude to each other. Which is somewhat awkward for customers to stand there and wait for the argument to finish. Usually this happened late at night not during daytime hours. But I have seen it happen.

The local Safeway in the Bluemont neighborhood. Checkout lines are often too long due to lack of manning. The selection of produce is acceptable. The selection of wine is pretty good with decent pricing, but the beer prices are always high -- nearly the same as the 7-11 that is across the street. The employees are very friendly, especially if you get helped by the store manager. Hoping for upgrades like self-checkout, but Safeway is in a battle to build a new Safeway in the same location and the city is trying to stop it due to the desire to add apartments/condos above the Safeway. Until this is resolved, don't expect any infrastructure changes.

Ah, the Soviet Safeway. Yes, it's small, outdated, not that clean, and often runs out of stock of many staples. But the parking is convenient, aisles aren't crowded, and it's usually quick to get in and get out. Surprisingly, it's become our go-to grocery shopping locale since moving nearby 3 years ago.

Dumpy store! It's outdated inside and if need to use there restroom, have to walk through the stock room to get there! The produce section is small, as is the meat section. There is no fresh baked section either. Plus the check out line are always long and the chapters take forever! I will say though, it's never busy!
