I have always liked this Safeway because I love the different varieties of produce, organic and ethnic foods they provide. The restroom is always clean as well as the rest of the store. The cakes are delicious and I definitely have my favorites. There are some pretty decent sales here as well.

I go to the same front end clerk most of the time. She is tall,wears glasses with blondish longer length hair. She presents her self with sincerity and compassion. The eye contact is the first thing I look for when I come to her lane. I had a knee replacement recently and she always comes around to my side to assist me and make sure that I have help. In the Deli Dept. Cindy Wright has those very same qualities. She embraces the added skills of efficiency, knowledgeable information of her products, offers ideas to pair items to add to thier order. Good job. Thank you

The customer service at the deli, actually, where you get the fried chicken, is terrible. I was waiting for at least 15 - 20 minutes, no one acknowledged me to ask what I wanted. I was there for fried chicken, but I noticed they were just about out of it. Then I asked a lady behind the counter if I can get a rain check, and she said you only get those if they are completely out. She said they're still cooking some. So she left again and I was waiting another 10 minutes. Then I asked someone how long it would take. They checked and said 15 minutes. That would've been really nice to know in the beginning so I wouldn't have wasted 20-25 minutes there. Ridiculous. Just acknowledge the customer, then ask what they need. Is that so hard? Not even eye contact while they're moving around the back counter. Just a warning, don't waste your time at the Deli/fried chicken counter.

The service is slow, and a lot of times the checkers are grumpy. I had one recently give me the silent treatment because I forgot my wallet in my car and had to run out and get it. I understand that what I did is super annoying but I'm human. I ran as fast as I could and came back. When I returned and asked if I should get to the back of the line or just pay for the groceries that were still at the checkout, I received no response. Just fast-moving, quick, irritated movements that displayed anger at the situation. I understand you've been on your feet all day and life is hard, you arent paid enough for this garbage etc., etc. However, I apologized profusely and tried to make the situation less hectic and all I got was a dirty look. It made me want to cry.. I am way too sensitive.

It's my go-to grocery store. Closet to my house. The check out lines are always busy - that's why I have it 4 stars. But my experience here is typically good every time and I come to Safeway at least 2x a week.
