Was really interesting to see Sag Harbor as the prosperous whaling port it once was. The historic building is gorgeous and the collection was surprisingly large + informative. Not your usual local museum that is more basic entertainment for children on a rainy day ... while children will enjoy it the curation is geared toward adults. Parking can be a challenge though.

We visited for a special art show but it seemed much of the space was not open to the public. Maybe they were setting up for another exhibit but it wasn't clear why so much of the space was unavailable for public access.
