Saigon Kitchen
"THE SAIGON KITCHEN STORYHomecooked Vietnamese FoodA little about me - Trung, chef & ownerBorn after the Vietnamese war, in a smalltown by the sea i was taught by my mum at a very early age valuable skills - how to use a knife, work an open fire, identify and combine the freshest ingredients to make well balanced dishesVietnamese food is all about balance. It’s simple but so fresh, as we use a lot of different varieties of fresh herbs. They are not just for garnish but play a major part in Vietnamese food. Dishes are aromatic, with layers of flavour, the amount of spice controlled to individual taste with use of different dipping . My mum is the person who inspires my cooking."

Great fresh and delicious food! We were a big table so tried a variety of dishes, all were great! I think the main courses are overpriced, but I still recommend dining here! I wish the food had more fresh chili..and that someday they will add vegetarian Pho to the menu... The tofu with tomato sauce is amazing and also the spicy mango salad!! Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian and vegan options are available Dietary restrictions: Most of the dishes are gluten free!
Really enjoyed sitting out in the evening here, really friendly and the dishes were great - not the usual Vietnamese but more stews. The pork and chicken were excellent, and for me the tofu with mushrooms had a very light sauce and needed a bit extra flavour, but very nice. The mango and pomegranate salad was excellent also.
The menu is quite small, the food is tasty, mine was delicious, vegetarian noodles. The price is expensive for what it is. There are other restaurants cheaper and delicious in Bristol. £13.50 My friends had a special which fish and they said it was dry. £16 The desert a puddle made with beans wasn’t good and expensive. £6 The other pudding, was a simple traditional one and expensive as well for what it is. £6 The egg rice was nice but expensive as well. £6. They were suggesting eating the special with rice which I don’t like as combination personally. In my opinion they need to improve their specials and to offer a plate that is good enough by itself, without having to ask for an additional one. They need to accompany the food with vegetables instead of asking is to get another rice plate. They need to make sure that the fish is not over cooked because gets dry. The decoration is great, but I know other restaurants better in Bristol. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I won’t come back if the menu continues like this small, expensive and un filling. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian food
I'd come back although I wouldn't order the fish again, it was quite dry. The other 3 dishes were delicious. The menu is not super extensive and the mains are a bit expensive £16-17. The service couldn't be better, quick, kind staff and smiley.
The most delicious Vietnamese food I had in the UK!!! The price is reasonable. The dessert is so amazing, it is not too sweet and tastes very Asian! All the food is so unique!!! I am so happy and so satisfied. I'll be back.
Definitely one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been to in the UK! Authentic and fabulous food, very friendly and attentive staff and also I love the cozy ambience inside. Try the Vietnamese fried spring rolls - absolutely divine! I would definitely come back to try different dishes on the menu!
Fantastic meal! Tastefully decorated, staff were friendly and the food was outstanding. Especially recommend the spring rolls, cod with tamarind sauce and bun cha. So pleased we finally have more Vietnamese food in Bristol!
We loved our meal at The Saigon Kitchen! Ordered a wide range of vegan, meat and fish dishes can't wait to go back to try the pho bo
Loved this place! Really authentic Vietnamese experience. The food was delicious and the staff were really kind and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!
without a doubt the best restaurant in bristol! we ordered a number of dishes and they were all fantastic, especially the Nem Thịt Hà Nội. Trung was so friendly and welcoming, and was happy to talk us through the menu and make recommendations. already counting down until the next visit!
