They have cute little window tables and larger family style tables in the middle. The food is so delicious!! The staff is very friendly and the food came out quickly. The picky child loved the shumai, fried rice and udon noodles. The mango sorbet was a nice treat for dessert. The parking is in the back so don’t pull up to the front of the building.
This is our family tradition and favorite for great authentic Japanese Food in Miami Dade! We will always come back, food consistently great, service amazing and the same chef has kept this place A1+ quality for over 25 years Kid-friendliness: They welcome your whole family, kids and pets included
This is my favorite restaurant in the country. It’s authentic, delciious, easy, comfortable, and just perfect. I cannot say enough good things. To me this is the perfect restaurant. The moose roll is my go to but my husband who doesn’t eat sushi swears by the chicken katsu. Everything I’ve ever ordered is perfect. I just love this place very much.
First time here and last. The FF&E hasn’t been updated since the 90s but the prices are comparable to nicer restaurants in the area. Food tasted like it was all Sysco bought at the lowest price possible. People seem to come here because of nostalgia but that doesn’t translate to a good restaurant. There is no value here. Truly a great restaurant and even better service. Food at Sakura surpassed my expectations. I came here trying to find a new Japanese sushi restaurant in my area to have some more options and in my first try I think I found it. Sakura has great sushi and rolls. Well... that is all I have tried for now, but I will be coming back to try other things. Service was excellent it was friendly and it was attentive, never intrusive. Restaurant decor could definitely improve but as long as they keep food this good I don't care about restaurant appearance that much. I will be back soon for sure.
Average fair with some hit and misses. Unfortunately almost all sushi places make their rolls without adequate vinegar in the rice so it’s bland. Wait staff is very friendly but I did not enjoy most of the dishes especially the green scallions pancake which was mushy instead of a nice crispy tortilla dish. Dry udon was flavorful. Thai donuts was only ok. Presentation is pretty though. My sister liked her rolls. I came back a second time but it still didn’t work out for me. Only sushi roll I enjoyed was from a Japanese restaurant in San Francisco. So the search continues for a good one in Miami.
The food is excellent here and they have a large selection of rolls. We love that they have several riceless rolls and vegetable rolls! Also, the people couldn’t be more friendly.Food: 5/5
Been coming here for years! So good! I’ve gotta say that this place is amazing from the quality of the fish and other ingredients to the service, this place is top notch!! Would recommend getting the Atlan roll and the Ko Ko Ru roll as you see in the pictures both are my favorites!
Spectacular food ! We have visited several times and wow ! Plus it is not expensive. We love the really Japanese cooks & owner . The place is cozy and you can even watch tv matches here!
It’s decent, nothing to write home about. The lunch special boxes are good, but quite greasy, not so fresh. The crab I think is krab, imitation. Service was great, atmosphere is great but the food for the price is so so.
