CLASS focuses on providing learning opportunities that promote personal growth and build community. Classes take place at the library and in other community sites, mostly on evenings and weekends.
The Community Learning and Skill Sharing (CLASS) Program at Salina Public Library connects skilled community members with those who are eager to learn. Each Semester provides informative and fun courses on a variety of topics.
All classes are taught by Salina and area residents with talents and skills to share. Most instructors volunteer their time and expertise. Class fees range from free to around $100, with an average cost of under $30 per class. Fees go to cover materials costs, to pay some instructors, and to help support the ongoing growth of the program.
Catalogs are distributed twice a year. The spring catalog is available during mid-January and classes are held through May. The fall catalog is available during mid-July and classes are held through December. CLASS catalogs can be found at the library, online, via mail and at many area businesses.
