I came here out of a recommendation from someone who gets her hair done by the owner (very well done if I may suggest). However, I did not get my hair done by her instead by one of her employees. I went in for a balayage ombre. Because my hair is not easy to deal with I mentioned that I have red undertones and that I did dye my hair with a semi-permanent black hair dye about a year ago. She said there shouldn't be a problem and proceeded. Well there was a problem. My hair lifted to a bright blonde on-top, a orangy red in between and a blonde on the tips. She told me that my hair can't get lighter cause it doesn't lift although I've done my hair many times where it has and my roots were blonde! (From my experience) Where she went wrong was not saturating my hair and only painting the top section. I literally have sections of hair that weren't touch by bleach and are still black. The way she attempted to fix it was using a burgundy toner. The problem of course with this is that what shes working with under the burgundy is different tones so what i was left with was pink roots, burgundy hair and pinkish orangy ends. After two washes it is orange, black, pink, dark and bright burgundy also known as a mess. You would think that you would get a better result by going to a professional and spending $120 than doing it at home but I was better off doing my own hair. NOT RECOMMENDED! GO ELSE WHERE!
