Story

We are so pleased to open our third salon and second Salon Salon in downtown Winooski. We are so proud to be part of the revitalization of this great little city with so much life and food, commerce and education. We carry the full line of Aveda products , which includes haircare, skincare, and makeup. We are a very comfortable easy going salon that caters to everyone. We offer facials, massage, and now Nova lash extensions. We look forward to meeting you.

I just saw Kristin for a haircut todat, and not only was she super helpful and kind, but she was so great to talk to as well. She helps me find the perfect product for my hair, and gave me a little cup sample of it so I could try it. Everyone in there is so down to earth and kind, and I'd recommend them (and Kristin) to anyone looking for a great salon experience in Chittenden County.

I am writing today to express my dissatisfaction with my hair cut yesterday on July 12, 2017.  I went in with very long hair and asked it to be cut just above the breast area.  Instead I left with my hair just passing over my shoulders.  In addition, the blowout that I received was terrible and just magnified how unhappy I was with my hair.  My stylist also was very unpleasant during my appointment and barely talked with me making me feel uncomfortable as she kept rushing around and checking the clock as though my appointment was going to make her late for her next ones.  I said that I was satisfied at the end of my appointment but I just didn't know what to say in the moment.  I wanted to cry with how short my hair was.  Furthermore, I arrived with my hair in its natural texture so the stylist could see what she was working with.  I said explicitly that my hair will spring up when it dries wavy/curly so that she would not cut it too short.  However, she started by cutting it dry and I asked to see how much she took off in the back.  When she turned me around there was no going back.  She said she had cut off about 6 inches (a nightmare for anyone who had been growing their hair out for a while).  Because she had cut it dry, she had to trim it further when it was wet, therefore making it shorter and shorter.    

I will not be coming back to Salon Salon ever again.  There is a lack of professionalism at this salon.  I was not even greeted by the receptionist when I walked in as I sat there for 10 minutes.  If you are going in for a trim or a half-buzzed style then this place is probably fine, but if you are looking for a professionally done, polished haircut, I highly advise that you stay away from this salon.

I will say that the manager was willing to speak with me and refunded the cost of the service which I appreciated.

I've yet to have had a haircut that I enjoyed till I went to here. The staff are incredible, I can't recommend this salon enough. They are also super friendly and supportive towards the LGBT community. Honestly I can't thank them enough.
