My hair was a mess when I went in- I had dyed it from my natural light brown/dark blonde to a dark brown/red and had then done several bad at-home dye jobs on top of it.  The owner worked with me on how to get it back to normal and helped explain my options to me.  I walked out with lighter hair and the highlights looked great.  They are very friendly.  Only drawback can be finding on-street parking in Malden, depending on what time of day you go.
