Lena is the owner -- and a stellar hair artist. I've had cuts and colors in high-end salons from Paris to Montreal, and no one nailed "the look" for me like she did the first time. She did exactly what I asked for: an inverted bob in reds, violets, chocolate and blonde. I asked for depth of color and if she could shore up an asymmetrical cut I'd had too long. Perfect. The vibe in this truly local salon is easygoing like the area. Oystermen, fishers, tourists from Cape San Blas -- they all come together in  this special  upscale/down-home place on a historic main street.

I bought my wife a gift certificate for this place last year. When she tried to redeem it, she was told some long winded story about how one of the owners had left and assets had been divided. I don’t know all the details, but the result was my wife was reluctantly invited to exchange the gift card for half its value. 

From my perspective, this place flat out stole money from me. Regardless of what happens behind the scenes, it should not affect customers in this way. Now, instead of accepting the gift card and gaining a returning customer, Salt Air has fleeced me of a few dollars and earned a poor, but fair review. 

I can’t speak to the quality of the work as my wife ended up not going and will not try again.

Wonderful. Been using Lena for 10 years now & never disappointed. Always colors & cuts my hair just how I ask. Also did my hair for my wedding & turned out gorgeous and one of a kind. Friendliest & helpful coworkers as well. Can't go wrong here
