We at Salt & Char are committed to supporting local farmers that follow organic and sustainable farming practices in all phases of operations. By supporting our local food system, we hope to promote improved farming practices and empower entire regions to cultivate more viable and healthy agricultural farming methods.

It is of the greatest importance to us to promote sound farming practices, emphasized and showcased through a very powerful medium – great food!

We happened upon Salt & Char by chance and it was a great experience. First off, dining on the front terrace facing Broadway and its charming old buildings was very nice, but when the food arrived we were blown away. The presentation for each dish was unusually creative and everything tasted great. We didn't expect to find this in Saratoga Springs--it was more like what you might find in a very expensive restaurant in Manhattan. I especially liked the onion soup in the puff pastry. Last but certainly not least, the staff was extremely nice and attentive. Any time we pass through Saratoga in the future this will be a definite stop for us. This was a great way to start our trip.

Perfect place to have cocktails and good food while people watching in Saratoga. Service was very attentive and the food looked and tasted incredible. We didn't have a full dinner but shared two appetizers and the green pea risotto, and were too full for dessert, although it looked delicious as it passed by. Every bite was flavorful. We didn't feel rushed at all. Overall a very nice dining experience.

Very memorable service, very delicious food. Worthy of repeat visits whenever in Saratoga. Advice: Ask them to slice the steaks for you.

Tomahawk steak was delicious. Not cooked correctly at first but after brought back to kitchen it was good. Served another round of hot plates and brought back pepper corn sauce as an addition. Bone marrow sauce was to excellent. I would definitely come again

Disappointed in grilled shrimp I got with my filet mignon. Shrimp raw and cold on the inside. Service was ok- just ok. Chicken dish was excellent. Staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome.
