This place is peaceful but rather plain. In spite of that, it's an interesting cemetery with many old headstones and graves. For those of the Morman faith this cemetery is significant and a "should see" because of many church leaders buried here. For those interested in history, it's definitely got its fair share. One interesting headstone, the grave of LILLY E. GRAY born June 6, 1881 and died on November 14, 1958. Her epitaph reads, "VICTIM OF THE BEAST 666". One word of warning: Never drive the cemetery roads at night or when it is raining! There are massive potholes that will destroy your vehicle. Visited February 2, 2018.

Nice place, interesting tombstones. Certainly, the crematorium is interesting. But for me the most meaningful thing in it, was the Christmas Box Angel, for children died at an early age. I organized there a vigil for a Turkish boy, shot by the police, and died a few months later.

A beautifully situated cemetery with great views of the Wasatch Mountains, Salt Lake City, and the University of Utah. This serves as the final resting place for many leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including most of the presidents of the church, as well as many church apostles. A lot of history preserved in the cemetery.

Fascinating cemetery full of historical figures and families of Salt Lake City. It's a wonderful place to stroll through and contemplate the brevity of mortality and the inevitability of death.
