I can't say enough about how great Dr. Elder and his staff are!  My wife, two teenage boys, and I have been going here for years.  I should have given this review long ago in order to help others decide on a dentist for their family.  I can't believe how nice and fun, yes fun, the staff is.  They have an amazing ability to put you ease, which is priceless when it comes to children or nervous adults.  Dr. Elder is so down to earth and has a natural ability to make you feel comfortable.  More importantly is his honesty.  That is to say, he is not interested in selling you on the most expensive option for your dental situation as some dentists are.  He, on many occasions, took the time to explain the pros and cons of all options and fully supported me in my decisions. If you are looking for a dentist and staff the really actually seem to care about you and your family this is the place.  P.S. his prices are very competitive.....I've checked.

Dr. Elder is a fabulous dentist, and believe me I have been to plenty of dentists! All the reviews on here are true, he and his staff make you feel at ease, he is honest (unlike many others I have seen) and doesn't try to over sell you on procedures you don't really need! My young daughters recently switched over to coming here and left with a smile on their faces and I'm serious when I say they asked when they get to go back! Unheard of!!! I had two other dentists tell me my daughter needed a cavity filled and wanted to sedate her (which terrified me!) and when she saw Dr. Elder he said it didn't need to be filled because there was no decay and we can just keep an eye on it (again he will not over sell you!) I would give more than five stars if I could!

Dr Elder is one of the best dentist I ever went. The procedures are very smooth and they respect our time. We did couple of root canals, teeth extractions and filling and in all the cases, we never had any issue and I would recommend this clinic for anyone of any age.

Without question Dr Elder is the best dental experience in Utah!   We live in West Jordan and elect to drive 30+ minutes across the Salt Lake Valley for my family to see him in Holladay.  Dr Elder himself is great.  Funny and personable, yet very professional and skilled.  His assistants are equally wonderful and his front office staff couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating.  Let's face it, going to the dentist is not at the top of anyone's list, yet this office makes it the experience worthwhile.  They will bend over backwards to do what's best to service the patient.  He has earned my business.

I seldom write reviews but made the exception as my most recent experience with Dr. Elder and his crew was phenomenal. Our family has been seeing Dr. Elder since we moved here, so about 7 years.  I had a visit for a mild toothache and it was determined I needed a root canal.  I scheduled it a week out for convenience and didn’t think much of it when Dr. Elder said that with the crack I had in my tooth, bacteria can get in and accelerate this scenario.  He was right.  In a little over 24 hours I was in excruciating pain. Long story short, he came in on his day off, after hours and addressed the issue.  He gave me a number to reach him at, regardless of the time, should the pain come back.  I returned at a later date to finish the procedure.  All of it went flawless. 

In my 50 years, I have never had a dentist, or his team, be as thorough, professional and friendly as this group.  They have a wicked sense of humor as well.  Our teenage daughter doesn’t even mind going to see him, how is that possible? If you are trying to find a dentist, I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Dr. Elder and his team.
