This place is a joke. My father left many items for Captain Joe to sell on consignment when he moved away. One day he asked me to go to the store and check on his items since no one from the store ever contacted him. When I arrived Matt the clerk told me that my father's equipment had been given to someone else simply because that person owned identical equipment. His reasoning for being a thief is that Don Atkins is still a customer and if he says that was his we can't argue because we may loose his business.  This is a joke and illegal. These people should be in jail not in Atlantic Beach. Please be very careful if you decide to shop here you are doing business with rotten felons.

This is the best tackle shop in the Atlantic Beach/Morehead City area hands down.  It might not have fancy clothing and salt life stickers but it has what you need to catch fish.  I don't believe the previous reviewer because every time I go see Matt he talks me out of buying the fancy stuff (more expensive) and sells me what works.  So if you want to waste money buying expensive tackle that one person on an online forum caught one fish with, in a fancy store that has more clothes than tackle go ahead.  Matt will always get my business because he is honest enough to sell me what works even if he makes less money.
