Really amazing food. I had the blue marlin smothered In a white crab sauce with carrots. This particular item is not on the regular menu. The food was artfully presented and perfectly cooked. My friends tried a couple of the pasta dishes with salads and assured me that they were excellent. The atmosphere is nice with low lighting and a live pianist. My only complaints are that if someone is seated next to you in some parts of the resturant, they're so close it's as though you're eating with them and the service is a bit slow. Overall, excellent food with a good atmosphere.

The happy hour specials run from 3-6 every day of the week. I recommend the wings :). The setting is cozy especially if you can get seating with a view of the peace Plaza which is currently decorated for Christmas.

Food was overpriced for the quality. Grilled cheese sandwich ingredients was of very low quality. Wild rice soup was extremely salty.

Salute wine bar & more is now one of my favorite places to eat in Rochester, Minnesota! My father has Celiacs and I have lots of food allergies! They have a huge gluten free menu and are extremely cautious. Usually gluten free portion sizes are small and expensive not here. They r huge and great prices and are delicious. I usually can't have pasta out of the house because I have a gluten sensitivity not celiacs but I can't eat gluten I am allergic to corn so most gluten free pasta have corn in it so I showed my allergy card and asked her to ask the chef if it was safe for me to eat, she comes back and says chef says you are all good to have pasta we don't do corn pasta because of that allergy it is rice pasta. Needless to say that chef made my day. My dad the one visit had chicken Marcela he said it was very tendar and the mashed potatoes were amazing. My other 3 family members got reubons and these folks are defenitly not typical reubons they are piled high with meat and they all said they tasted amazing. Needless to say if u want amazing food and great service oh and good prices eat here. It's kind of like a hidden gem. P.S. If u r like my Dad and myself and have allergies I definitely recommend eating here neither one of us got cross contaminated and our food we got was delicious.

We attended the special wine dinner on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Salute. Chef Greg Cook pulled out the stops and created a superb six course dinner with delicious wine pairings. The food was excellent and the party (seated at one long table) was convivial. We made many new "foodie" friends and delighted in tasty preparations. Congratulations to the chef and for Salute for initiating this amazing event!
