I met the operators of Sam Pacific after experiencing car trouble in the late evening. I parked my car and called the posted number waking up the owner operator. We met the next morning (Sunday) and I was immediately taken by the neighborly approach and the perceived honesty in the assessment. The work is good and the charges fair!

The battery on my Jeep died two blocks down. I found Sam's on google maps and walked over to see if he could help. He gave me a ride back to my car, jumpstarted it, and drove it back to the shop to look at it. The battery and some associated cabling needed to be replaced. He was able to do it that very afternoon and get me on my way before the work day was done. Did and excellent and clean job with the cabling too.

I don't know about "technie" below, but I have been dealing with Sam's for over 16 years with a fleet of vehicles from family and friends. They do excellent work and STAND by their work. If you want to bring your own parts, you can, but he cannot guarantee or give any warranty on those parts.I've gone to a lot of mechanics that are "cheap," but that is what you get, cheap work that falls apart. Sam's on Pacific has fixed everything on literally over 20 cars from 6 different people and everything lasts.

I took my car as there was an engine check light on because of a cylinder misfire. He said he will diagnose the issue in a couple hours and call me but that never happened. I had to call multiple times and after having the car for a full day he said there was a cylinder misfire (which I knew) and then there was a fuel and Air metering sensor problem(which is wrong as the code was manufacturer specific and it meant coolant system malfunction.I know this because I checked the code online and also had it confirmed at another auto shop I took it to later) and that it had to be replaced. he quoted me around 650$ to fix these. Usually ignition Coil change costs less than 70$(Incl. labor) but he quoted me around 200$ for that and he quoted me 450$ to change the air and fueling metering sensor which infact had no problem. I did a quick check online for the part and it was only 135$ and he said the part was 285$ and similarly he said the coil spring was 80$ when you could get in for around 25$. When I din't want to get these done he charged me 65$ just for pulling the OBD2 codes which usually most mechanics do for free. I then took it to another auto shop that had good reviews and they did the diagnosis for free and fixed the coolant leak issue for 225$. I am glad I saw thru his bullshit.
