Good restaurant on base at Fort Knox. Different kind of setup as you order and pay as you enter then given a number to seat yourself. Drinks are self serve other than alcohol. Brisket burger was okay, pretty dry for my taste but the house fries are above other types of restaurants. Fried pickles are good and you get plenty of them for the price. Beer tasted old like the keg went bad but they probably don’t get a ton of throughput so that probably is what happened.
Large spacious establishment serving decent food and cold brews. Menu is standard bar fare, but comes out to order and hot. Staff is polite and ready with info on menu and drinks. Food comes out warm front the kitchen. Tried a cheese steak and fries. Both were good and portion for price was good.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
This place just reopened for dinner after the holiday season. That may have been the reason why people were turning back tap beer in droves. Every beer that we ordered was skunky. They should have let the lines clear out before serving from their taps. A gastropub that carries the name of Sam Adams should at least be good at beer. That said, after switching to mixed drinks, the bar was exceptional. This venue is unique and awesome for being on a military post. Large and spacious it also has an outside venue as well as a pool table and game area. You would think with all of that going for it you would get served food with proper plates and utensils rather than on cardboard and plastic platters and using plastic utensils. It just adds an air of a low class establishment. The menu here is very small, almost as though this venue has never come out of its covid nightmare. A burger a salad or a sandwich pretty much sums up everything you can get here. Between everybody at our table we tried it all and the unanimous feeling was the food was just meh. Overall I don't think any of us would be fighting to come back here.
I understand food costs have risen; but to cut the soup portion in half for a “pick two” lunch combo is sad. Old portion was substantial. New portion is pathetic and yet the price didn’t drop.
The Brewhosue is a great stop for all. The costs are low and according to conservative views relating to tour points
Went by at a odd time. Excellent food and great experience. And the employees care enough to not serve anything prepared up to 100% their standards. I'm looking at you pickled veggies. Thanks again!Food: 5/5
It's Okay. Service is poor at lunch and the food isn't made with much care. The seating isn't comfortable. The tables aren't well provided with condiments. Dirty tables went unbussed for the whole time I wa there. The catfish on the lunch buffet was overcooked to the point of being burnt. So was the breaded okra. Seemed like the fryer oil was very overdue for a change. No salad bar.
I stopped in for lunch today and tried the chicken wings. I got the house Sam Adams Lager sauce. The wings were moist and the sauce was excellent. I also had a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel beer that was rather tasty. I will definitely be back.
Great staff, friendly and attentive! The food was ok. I ordered chicken and waffle. I do t even think the waffle was quite done! It was fluffy and pale. Although the staff was great, they kept forgetting to bring food to the last two people in our group. We were a big group/party but when you have to remind them about the food that’s a no no...I liked my Sam Adams beer though! ***Second time here! Loved it! Loved our server Sue! Very nice and friendly knows the menu very well!!! Karaoke night was a hit!!! And the beer as always does not disappoint!***
The first time I went I had the Flaming chicken. It was pretty good. On a heat scale it was just hot enough to make my eyes watery. They place the pickles near the bun which soak the juice up and made it soggy. The next day I had their signature burger. It was ok. Nothing special. The appetizers are enough for 3 people. The first day the waiter was bad. She could not even remember anyone order. The second day the waiter was ok much better then the first one
