The restaurant seats 100 people in the theater of lively teppan grill room and 60 people at the quiet sushi bar. The area has plenty of parking spaces around the restaurant. Samurai is open 7 days a week except for Momorial day, Thanksgivng day, and New year's day.

The service was horrible and the food came out cold. This was after waiting 45 minutes. No one even came to our table to let us know what the delay was or if we needed more water etc.. The restaurant was not even busy. I was with three other friends and felt bad since I suggested that we eat there.There were no apologies or any concerns that none of us ate our food! There was no explanation as to why the food was cold. I asked that mine be warmed up and the woman acted like that was a big imposition. (Obviously the food had been sitting there for half an hour getting cold) To make matters worse this treatment was from the owner of the restaurant. Wouldnt an owner of a restaurant be concerned and question why four customers left their food uneaten? She obviously didn't care that we probably wouldn't be coming back. This could be why it wasn't crowded. It could be that this was just an off day and I could understand. What I can't understand is the total rude manner in which we were treated so I unfortunately won't be going back. You would think that given all the restaurants we consumers have to choose from that restaurateurs would appreciate the business. The customer is the reason for being. Without customers there is no business.All I would have wanted was an explanation but instead I am writing this review

We are regulars of Samurai- we go several times a month. We had never had seafood at samurai until Friday. We normally get steak Tappan and have never had a problem. We got steak and lobster for our anniversary Friday night. The lobster tasted dirty, but edible, and by 6 hours later, we were both sick. We didn't eat anything abnormal that day that we don't eat regularly other than lobster. I finally felt better today, enough to call, so I called and spoke to a manager who said that there was no way we got sick on her lobster, and just sarcastically said "well, sorry." After telling me that no one else complained. (We didn't see anyone else getting lobster) We have been coming to this restaurant for years, and always wondered why it was never busy. Now we know. Don't eat here.

Known this place for 12 years and known all previous owners. New Owner (Mr. Park and his family) are diligently developing new dishes. Recommend to ask them what was newest en·trée and try it~~

It's a classic Chinese cook in front of you experience. Although I would say that this is much better quality than the other ones that I've been to. The salmon is so good, highly recommend it. But if you want a ton of food, either go chicken or filet mignon.

The steak and fried rice was tasty but pricy. Lobster was chewy. Was a little disappointed in the size of steak we actually got. Chef was nice but a little boring.
