Wow. My childhood museum sure did grow up. Glossy and slick with super informative displays. The best part was the birds and eggs are still there. Not in the same quantity but redone in a respectful and tasteful way. This visit had ages ranging from seven to eighty-five, all of us were engaged. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, even engaging. The eleven year old appreciated the natural history section and the seven year old loves the steam engine located in the courtyard. We'll definitely go back again.
It was my first time here even after living in San Bernardino for like 10 years. I brought my toddler on a Tuesday afternoon and it was great. If you have an EBT card adults can get in for $1 and kids 5 and under are free. We spent a good 2 hours here and we still didn't even get to the outside exhibits. I would definitely come here again. The only downside I could say is that they don't have any food court or vending machines. You do have to bring your own lunch or snacks. There is a beautiful picnic area.
So much to see at this museum. I honestly didn't know what to expect as I've never been here and this was just a spontaneous idea. The place was not packed at all, we were able to walk around and enjoy the entire museum without feeling rushed. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the crowd was respectful of your space. Its a good place to learn a little about our county and also entertaining for children. I recommend you bring a water and your own personal hand sanitizer as there is a lot of touching going on. They provide hand sanitizer stations but some of them are out or its too watery. Definitely learned a lot from this visit.
Super fun local museum detailing tons of different exhibits with helpful and interesting information! We were a group of five 28 year olds from AZ, OH, IN, and AL and had a fantastic time learning about San Bernardino did you know there used to be camels here?. More than happy to spend a rainy afternoon there!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10

The museum is wonderful with displays and artifacts of prehistoric times and today. The mamal displays are remarkable. The entrance fees are reasonable for families. Such a wonderful gem just right off the Ten freeway. There's no charge for parking, and once inside theres a wide variety of different exhibits, each one equally captivating as the previous. Excellent place to bring children and young pre-teens!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
