National City Depot is at 922 West 23rd St, National City, CA 91950

The Depot is located at the corner of Bay Marina Drive and Marina Way in National City. Take Interstate 5 about 10 miles south of downtown San Diego, exit at Bay Marina Drive and go west 1 block and turn right on Cleveland Ave. Turn left one block later onto West 23rd St. The Depot is straight in at the end of the street.

The Depot is open Saturdays and Sundays and Holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) 10 am - 4 pm and by appointment.

Mission

The San Diego Electric Railway Association, Inc. (d.b.a San Diego Electric Railway) exists to:

* Preserve the artifacts and equipment of the San Diego Electric Railway and other related local companies.
* Establish and maintain an active railway museum, complete with an operating, historic streetcar line.
* Serve as an educational resource showing the important roles streetcars, interurbans, and electric railways played in the development of the San Diego area.
* Preserve past and present pictures, publications, and artifacts of the current San Diego Trolley.

Books, DVDs, other railroad memorabilia available in the gift shop. Interested in having a Birthday Party or other public meeting in a Historic Streetcar? Our newly painted Birney car is available for daytime and evening special events. Contact us at the Depot for additional information.

Interested in membership?


* Student (Passenger) - $15 yearly - available to anyone actively attending school
* Senior (Conductor) - $15 yearly - available to those 60 years of age and older. Full privileges of membership. Includes voting rights.
* Regular (Motorman) - $25 yearly - available to anyone. Full privileges of membership. Includes voting rights.
* Family (Maintenance Crew) - $35 yearly - available to families (parents and minor children). Full privileges of membership. Includes one vote per membership.
* Life (Dispatcher) - $400 one-time - available to anyone. Entitled to regular membership benefits and responsibilities for the life of the member. Includes voting rights.
* Corporate (Inspector) - $500 (minimum) yearly - available to any business or corporation that wishes to support SDERA. Entitled to newsletters and corporate mailings. Includes the right to one vote for the business or corporation.
