What a gem!?! Mid July and mostly vacant. Site #11 is up high in case of rain and lake within view. Unisex bathrooms AND unisex SHOWERS!

Sand Lake Campground, Dublin Mi is a US Forest Service campground in the Huron Manistee National Forest. It is part of the Manistee River watershed. State and National forests are a large portion of the area and if your an outdoor person, this is the place for you. Rivers and lakes are numerous. Kayak, canoe and boating are popular. Fishing is great and off road trails are all close. The facility offers flush toilets and showers, but there is no electric. The lake is spring fed and the beach is nice and sandy plus kid friendly for swimming. Though the facility needs upgraded badly, the staff keeps the place clean and tidy. It's under management by a private company. Popular campground. Dublin Mi is 1 mile away and the general store has everything you.... And the best meats and jerky selections known to mankind. There's Super Bads cafe and ice cream shop plus a gas station completes the sleepy tiny village of Dublin. Great place to go.

Excellent time with all the kids last summer.  Great beach, shower house was seeing some wear but really great for camp site.  Didn't have to feed quarters :-)    Lake was quiet.    Short walk to beach from campsite.
