This is a very nice park. Several pavillion around the park. Plenty to do or great for relaxing with your family. Fishing is good from the docks or rock Jedi. You will need a fishing license. The beach is course sand and hot some days so bring shoes or flip flops. The view is pretty awesome since the park is at the base of the Chesapeake bay bridge. The park also has a large boat ramp and trailer parking with easy access to the Chesapeake bay. If you need supplies, Anglers fish and Tackle is next to Wendy's on route 50 on the way to the park.

This was a wonderful place for holding the Polar Bear Plunge. It was my first time visiting the park and I was surprised at how much space there was. The beach has a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge! I plan to come back in the summertime to enjoy the water when it's not so cold.

I was there January 27th for the State Police annual Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics. The atmosphere was Electric the people were friendly and fun-loving and the vendors served fantastic food. The temperature was 50 degrees, quite warm and the water temperature was 34 degrees again quite warm. I had a fantastic time and will be back for next year's Plunge.

The beach is nice. Not over crowded. Its like a little private beach. Theres no boardwalk, only a concession stand. Its overpriced, you're better off bringing your own food. On the other hand they do sell snowballs, and fkr that, I'd splurge. Go early so you can get the shady parts of the beach. They also have showers there as well. You pay a small fee, to enter the park. They have places for volleyball, grilling and such.

Great St. Park on the Chesapeake Bay - very nice boats ramps that your $3.00 entry fee covers. Nice beach and picnic areas. No overnight parking allowed. Home of the annual Polar Bear Swim that raises money for charity. The Park is a wildlife treasure you should put on your destination calendar! Be sure to visit over the Holidays to see the wonderful light displays - it's HUGE.
