Linda did a nice pedicure for 45.00. When I went to check out, the shorter blond woman [owner?] asked what amount tip I wanted included on my charge. When I mentioned $8.00, she told me in no uncertain terms that 20% "was standard" and then asked if I wanted her to charge $9.00? I did approve that, but was taken back by her question. The dollar difference was not a big deal to me, but her attitude was. I was further surprised when she asked if I wanted a receipt. Really? I have no plans to return.

I have been getting highlights, color and cut on my very SHORT haircut for years in Michigan for $110.00. After having these three services done at Sanibel Beauty Salon on March 1st, 2016 the woman at the cash register charged me $351.00. I told her there must be some mistake. She coldly told me "you had three things done to your hair, and that is what we charge." I was unable to comprehend but paid the $350.00. This is an enormously high price, three times higher than the norm. I resent being taken advantage of.

I went there the first time after "Supercuts" botched my hair and Andy fixed it. She did a good job. My second visit I saw Lilly for a cut & color and was very happy. Lilly really knows how to cut long, curly hair. I live over an hour away and had business near Sanibel, so I made an appointment for another cut. Unfortunately, Lilly was not there on that day, so Dina cut my hair. I left the salon with my hair damp, as I requested (I wear my hair natural) and I saw the mess after I got home. It looked like I came home from "Supercuts" all over again. My hair was uneven and jagged. I called the salon to ask if I can come in and have Lilly fix my hair, since she did such a good job the last time. I was told that Dina will fix it for free, but if Lilly cuts it, I will have to pay for it all over again. A simple cut, no washing (I did that at home) or styling afterwards, and a 20% tip came to $45. So I'm expected to have Dina, who didn't cut my hair right the first time, cut it again? I don't think so. I also should not have to pay $90 to have my hair cut right. I'm very disappointed and I will not recommend this salon.
