Story

Santa Barbara Pension Consultants, Inc. is an independent professional fee-based plan administrative firm specializing in the design and administration of qualified retirement plans for corporations, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, limited liability companies, and sole proprietorships.
Plan administration and consulting are our only business and have been for more than 20 years. We are not in the investment business nor do we engage in other services that we consider a conflict of interest or diversion from our specialty. We believe clients are best served by a separate investment advisor and plan administrator.

horrible customer service, slow and unresponsive. As a client I feel completely ignored and unimportant. I am currently in the process of dealing with this company regarding a profit sharing plan. I will certainly update if there is any positive news to share.

These people are incredibly rude. We had to threaten legal action for them to reply to us. We finally got a hold of the president by accident who informed us they did not want our business. Beware- this group has the worst customer service and "doesn't need business".

These are the most horrible human beings on the planet. I very nearly had to sue them to roll over my 401K money from a previous employer. Thank goodness I still have a good relationship with that employer and had their help, or else I never would have gotten the check 6 months after leaving my job. First, I spoke to the person assigned to my case, who was too stoned to help me. I did not know my company had hired them and when I left, SB Pension sent me paperwork to fill out to do the rollover. When I called to ask them to identify themselves and explain why they wanted my personal information, I was dismissed as a crazy person and to "call back when you've read the paperwork." The guy was stoned! I called my old boss and he gave me the owners number, when I called he was first there and then suddenly gone. My former boss had to call him, then he called me. We went through all the documents he wanted me to sign and was appalled that I would question giving out every scrap of personal and financial information to a company I knew nothing about. When I sent the documents in, 4 weeks later I got a letter stating I had missed one (one he had earlier explained that I did not have to fill out), and another 4 weeks later my new financial company called wondering where the check was. 3 weeks after that, they sent it to my former employer instead of the new financial company they specifically requested address information for. They are awful, awful human beings, impossible to get a hold of and rude rude rude. I would rather poke myself in the eye that deal with them.
