Also known as Ellwood Mesa, a lovely mesa that's away from everything with blue-water views to the Channel Islands. There's little shade cover and I was visiting on a 90º day, so be prepared with water, a hat and sunscreen. You're high above the shoreline and the cliffs are hazardous at spots – no sleepwalking!

Bring your mountain bike to enjoy the many flat, rutted trails that crisscross the mesa.

It is a bit beat up, weather has taken its toll. But it is where you go if you are in the area. Less crowded then downtown. better parking too.

Good place to have a short walk, quite but need to be cleaned.

Great place to wind down after taking the State Water Control Resources Board T2 test.

Beautiful biking and running trails...Splendid view of the ocean. Good for morning/evening jogs.
