Story

Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union - County Federal for short - was founded on May 8, 1950 by eight county employees with a vision and $107. They volunteered their time to foster a common dream, and this web site is the latest evidence of their success. Our Credit Union was originally chartered in the state of California under the name Santa Clara County Employees Credit Union. Now, County Federal not only serves Santa Clara County employees but San Benito County, many cities within Santa Clara County, Santa Clara County Office of Education, Valley Medical Center and many other companies affiliated with the county.

Switched over from another CU. I am very happy. No fees. Multiple locations and great service and options for banking neebees who want to grow into financial literacy and money management. Clean and comfortable.

Just switched! No monthly or annual fees, on the savings or checking accounts. The credit union is only open to county employees and immediate family, so know that first of all. The branch is nice and offers most of what a retail bank offers. They have online bill pay, for free. Online banking, for free. Free use of ATM machines at their branches and other credit union branches. This location has a drive thru ATM machine, which I like. I'm going to be pretty happy with my new financial institution.

Member services Staff was generally confused and had to continually check with a supervisor over basic questions. Supervisor for not come out to simply assist in handling the situation.

The County Credit Union is fantastic! I have Savings Accounts here for myself and my two sons. I've used them to help me find cars, which they can find, MUCH cheaper than I can, and then finance them at a better rate than the dealerships and banks!
