She was very rude and not approachable. When my Mom had a chance to talk to her she was not polite and she raised her voice and yelled at my Mom, she took advantage of my Mom for not speaking English, she verbally abusive my Mom, made my Mom very uncomfortable and got mentally disturb. My Mom came home crying and was hurt. We were there today and talked  to her supervisor and she was very nice to us. We already filed a complaint against her to the County ,she needs more trainning and change her behavior not to abuse elderly people .

Grate place gives people food stamps, bus passes and cash...what's not to like !!! The people where really nice !!! I'm sure the people that didn't like this place came there with a attitude

So my son is 17 about to be 18 and he is having a baby with his girlfriend who today tried to go get food stamps today to help them out and this lady on window #2 was putting down my son saying that he will never amount to nothing and he will only make $8 an hour! If I could get thru on the phones I would complain to a manager, that is so not right talking about my son who the hell is she to judge anyone!

I was advised not to call the office and instead to show up early in the morning, as phone service is not worth the wait, and may not be able to help anyway.

So I showed up to the general assistance office at 7:30am. The place opened at 8:00am on a Monday, not 9:30am as shown. People gathered in a group and piled in as they opened the doors at 8:00. Just inside the doors is a help desk where you line up, describe your situation, and take a number. I was there just to change my county in order to be eligible for MediCal coverage. I was one of the first people in line, but still waited for about 30 min before the number was called. Service was pretty poor but they did get me a step closer to solving what I needed. 

It was a lot like going to the DMV. Just be able to describe exactly what you need using their terms. Besides that bring a book, be patient, be polite, and you shouldn't have an issue.

Definitively incompetent, pathetic, poor, awful service. The employees don't seem to want to help people or don't have the proper knowledge to do it. They keep transferring people from one to another without resolving anyone's issues or concerns.They act arrogant pretending to know more than what they really do. They are just checking the clock to see when its time for them to leave. They give wrong information. People have to wait long hours, sometimes with kids crying that end up tired and frustrated because their problems still unresolved.
Please do something!! The people who needs these services don't deserve this kind of service just because they can't afford something better. If the people working at this place is not happy for wherever reason, please find something else to do. Don't take on the people that you are possessed to help.
