Great experience. Comfy bed, nice and clean, no smells or dampness or allergens, great fan for white noise as you’re right outside the airport, shower’s water pressure was impressive. Will definitely stay again. Only hiccup to be aware of: you can’t request rooms with certain accommodations, even weeks in advance. You won’t find out whether they have those accommodations available until you get there.
25 bucks a night for parking is a bit much considering the price of the room. With that being said, rooms are clean with decent water pressure in the shower. Friendly staff. Being so close to the airport expect to hear the planes. Beds are comfy with lots of pillows.
The hotel has a great location for those who need to take a flight since it's very close to the airport and I can see planes from my room. The breakfast plates are pretty and taste good! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and egg Benedict. The super green juice is freshly squeezed on demand.Rooms: 5/5
5/5 would stay again. Check in was quick, staff is friendly, hotel and rooms were clean. Rooms are well designed such as having a small desk and comfy chair for work and decent wifi for calls. Amenities are modern such as the gym, very clean and has a decent amount of equipment for a short business trip.Rooms: 5/5
The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The staff were very rude. We had paid for the hotel package that included breakfast. The restaurant staff chased us down after breakfast accusing us of not paying. They acted like we did not purchase the package and then after they looked into it, they realized we did. Totally embarrassing. Then when we were checking out of the hotel, the front desk rep acted like we still owed $750 and still didn’t pay for parking when we paid for the whole thing on the first day of checking in. We had to get the manager involved and pull out our bank transactions to prove it. Never again will we stay here. If you do, make sure you save your proof.
Great experience. Easy check in, nice staff, clean rooms, and great bar and lobby atmosphere. The pool has a nice design with a hot tub and cabanas. Only possible concern for others would be the noise from the airport.
The hotel rooms were okay. It has a nice Lobby and that's a nice touch. I didn't like the fact that they were charging me $25 for parking. I was going to try this hotel instead of my normal Hilton because I thought it was free parking since there was no gate. But they still charge me $25. The other issue I had were the pillows. They were too bulky and uncomfortable. I did ask for other pillows and they brought me some that were even worse. So I think I'm one and done for Hyatts and back to the Hilton
I came down for a family trip after being away from California over 15 years. My black family was treated poorly by staff. When we first arrived, they asked if me and my mom wanted complimentary champagne and we said yes. The lady grilled me about my ID lol I’m 34 years old and when I gave it to her she was like “ I can’t believe you were born in 1988, you look so young.” She insinuated I had a fake ID..not my fault I age well. Also, my mom does not like elevators and their stairs are locked and only a manager or staff member can open it. They tried to get my my mom to use the elevator because it inconvenienced them. One of the staff made a smart remark when we tried to use our hotel key. They also refused to give me a receipt for something I paid cash for and just stared at me saying it won’t be charged to the room. The beds were uncomfortable, there was rust in the bathroom, and the thermostat was outdated. The breakfast only had buffet style on the weekend and the other days we had to choose the same meal from the menu or pay extra to buy something else. There was a lack of communication throughout our stay and the vibe in new port was off all together. My family felt like we were not wanted there yet we paid over $1,000 for 5 nights stay. The sad part is my black family was being mistreated by workers in another minority group of Asians. We promised as a family to never return to Newport Beach ever again and go somewhere else in California where our money, time, and blackness is appreciated. If you are black I would stay away from this area and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Stayed here for my birthday, beautiful rooms. The front desk manager Andrew was friendly and attentive. I am definitely staying there again because of his way to interact with guests and cleanliness of hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Lobby area is clean and decent. Front desk agent were watching youtube and never paying attention even guest was waiting for desk agent. Seems like watching smartphone while working is very normal for this hotel. Food was good. Staffs need to be trained.Rooms: 3/5
