I recently visited this Saravanaa Bhavan, and it was a delightful experience, especially since I hail from Chennai, where this iconic restaurant chain was originally started. As a vegetarian restaurant, they offer an extensive menu with a wide variety of authentic South Indian dishes. We tried their butter masala, onion rava and plain dosas, adai aviyal, mini idlies, gobi 65 and patottas. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, better than the restaurants back in Chennai.  The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to dine with family. The service was attentive and quick, which added to the overall positive experience.  In one of the reviews I saw someone mentioning it doesn’t taste like Andhra food, of course it will not as it is from proper Chennai.  Overall, if you’re looking for delicious vegetarian food with a traditional touch, Saravanaa Bhavan is definitely worth a visit, especially for those who appreciate the flavors of Chennai!

Trusted reviews from your local Guide Ranjeeth Reddy Rikkala  This is more of a Tamil taste restaurant than a Telugu taste.  Food is a bit sweeter rather than expected minimum salt and spicy.  We ordered onion masala Rava dosa and 2 meals.  Both are not up to expectations.  If you prefer Telugu style veggie restaurant, you should visit VEG VIHAR, you will definitely thank me for that. Visited this iconic restaurant during our Dallas trip. My husband and I are big fan of South Indian cuisine and this restaurant represents all that we love about the food. The interiors of this place is clean, vibrant and simple. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Also plenty of douacd for parking. We ordered Saravana special dosa, combo platter, upma and coffee. The food came quickly and was fresh and hot and above all delicious. The portion size was big for the price they charged for the plate. The girl was attentive to our requests and brought the order as we needed If given to us, we would definitely return to this place given it provides value for your money snd the food is fresh, light on stomach and absolutely delicious

Was visiting Dallas and had to stop and check this place out. It checked all the boxes for variety, authenticity, cost and service. The table surface area needs some increase to accommodate the large dishes - both the food and the plates! Will highly recommend itFood: 5/5

Last Saturday we arrived at this restaurant at 9.45am & was  greeted warmly by a lovely young lady. The place was busy but clean with adequate staff. We ordered dosa, vadas & chole bhatura & every thing was on the table within 10 mins. It was all fresh & delicious & the staff made sure we got refills on various chutneys. The food was delicious,2 chutneys were very spicy but the rest was fine. Highly recommended for good, fresh food & lovely staff. Will definitely be returning to try other vegetarian food.

I have been a regular visitor once in 2 weeks at least to the Saravana Bhavan on Ohio Drive, Plano. I must admit it has always been an exquisite culinary experience that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating.  The taste of the dishes was nothing short of excellent. The food here is very good and the restaurant is nice and clean.  There are many different types of Dosas. Some savory and some sweet. They serve the food in transitional metal plates which gives it a nice touch. And chutnis are amazing!  I would highly recommend recommend the mini idlis in daal and the madras coffee is a solid option.  The thali has a good variety of food and the family loves to share one.  The one down side is they close the kitchen will before the restaurant closes and twice the chef that cooks the Asian food was not there so we couldn’t order anything good portion of things on the menu

Good South Indian Vegetarian fast food.  Little pricy for the food quantity, but worth it for the taste and bringing back Chennai memories... Will visit again...  Vegetarian options: Good South Indian Vegetarian spread....
