I used to have a lot of prejudices about Indian cuisine. I was particularly apprehensive about the abundance of spices and curry. I can confidently say that this place shatters all stereotypes. The ingredients harmonize beautifully, and the dishes will even appeal to those who don't enjoy culinary experiments. Most dishes from the main menu will look visually similar to each other. The meat will resemble a stew, incredibly tender and well-cooked, accompanied by plain rice and flatbreads. For appetizers, you can try something like meat pastries. They contain spices and are slightly salty, but when you taste them with one of the two sauces, they transform into a completely different flavor. The place is fantastic, and the people working there are very pleasant.
You know that type of family that you dread coming to visit you but you have to be nice to them because they only visit once every few years? Yeah... I made the mistake of bringing a family member here yesterday. She was so rude to the waiter. The waiter was wonderful, answered all of our questions, helped with recommendations, and checked up on us often. And even when the family member in question was rude to the waiter and kept trying to show him pictures of a restaurant she visited overseas on her phone. The waiter very politely viewed her photos and described the dishes she had eaten. The waiter was very professional! The food was amazing and it was a good amount of food for the price. They have vegetarian options and meat options for us carnivores. The restaurant was empty since this restaurant is hidden from street view but it is worth the trip. I know I will be ordering from here more often and leaving that rude family member at home. Thank you to the cooks and the staff at this restaurant! You are all amazing! Great food, quiet environment, and professional staff. The dessert was also very tasty! Fresh mango and vanilla pudding. Delicious! They also have take-out and a huge menu to choose from. Don't skip out on this place! Leave the mean family members at home and eat here.
Great Indian food. Usually this location is pretty quiet since it's off the main road and not easily seen. We went there because it was fractionally a decimal point better than our usual place. We were very happy. Great flavor and nice service. Portions were pretty normal for Indian food. If you're starving you'll finish it. If you're regular level hungry you'll bring some home. You will not be disappointed in the service, the flavor or the quality. So far, this is my favorite local Indian restaurant.
As a first timer was a little confused how to start off did I sit down and wait or place order then sit? Answer: go to the counter inform them you will be eating in, grab a menu, sit where you like .They will come and take your order. The food is great and perfect for sharing an experience with food. Everything is served in a way that is meant to share with everyone at the table in it's own dish and serving utensils. It's a nice change from the normal personal solo plated meal you have with most other dinning experience. I find it very bonding and more of an engaging time. The best part is how delicious the food was I found it very enjoyable at a very reasonable price. I do see myself returning here again very soon with friends and loved ones.
We go out for Indian food frequently but this was our first time at Sattva Mission Viejo. The service was quick and courteous. We ordered chicken tikka masala and Dahl Mahkni. The Dahl was phenomenal and the tikka was delicious as well. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
The three of us had the restaurant all to our selves. The service was fine but the food was really underwhelming. We got the chili paneer which felt hard and not cooked enough with the masala && navaratna korma which still had the raw taste of turmeric in itFood: 3/5
A hidden gem! Food was delicious with some of the best naan and kulcha I’ve ever had. Staff was very nice and attentive.
Portions are very small. For example, we ordered three chicken tikka masala dishes and each came with just a few pieces of chicken and mostly sauce. By volume, it was maybe 7:1 sauce to chicken. The chicken tikka dish was also relatively small compared to what is provided by Himalayan Taste, which is another Indian restaurant with similar cost and location, but they provide much bigger portions. I’d avoid Sattva in favor of Himalayan taste.
Great place to have a quick Indian food in combos and À la carte Staff was too friendly and caring
They were able to take my order 15 minutes before they closed! I was so happy that the kitchen was still open. When I arrived to pick up my food, it was very clean inside, and the staff was super kind. Then when I got home and tried the butter chicken and mango lassi. It was very tasty! Perfect take out spotFood: 5/5
