All the volunteers were very willing to discuss/explain their respective crafts. My kids thoroughly enjoyed watching them work, and loved having all their questions answered. A great experience - we'll definitely be back.

This is an interesting place. Interpreters in the historic buildings are very knowledgable.  The focus is on pre-industrial and early industrial era  life and crafts. The buildings are very close together, which makes the walking less demanding. There is a strong connection between the buildings and the local area. The Native American and early settler exhibits are especially good.

Sauder Village is an amazing experience! So much fun for the whole family!! Don't miss the world renowned artisans (glass blower, ceramics, blacksmith, tinsmith, etc.), train ride, farm animals, general store, ice cream parlor (wow it's great!), The Barn Restaurant, historic museum and more! 

Plus they have special events, a hotel and camp ground. LOVE IT!!

Absolutely interesting and informative about  how the early Americans made and produced items. Brooms, glass,  barbershop, doctors office and a train station with information about the  large wreck not far from there.  Many other shops. Was a great day and will go back.

Loved the historical village and presentations for each of the places in the village. The presenters were knowledgeable and passionate about their specific area. Enjoyed watching the glass making workshop and the blacksmith, they are truly skilled artists. Great place for families, especially for younger children to learn about Ohio history. Also if visiting I highly recommend stopping by the cafe inside the village, loved the service and the chocolate was delicious.
