This office used to be that of a great dentist (Dr. Penta) but since his retirement, the place is horrible. The new dentist, Mandy Miresmaili, is in it for one thing only - money. Like our previous dentist, she was a participating provider with our insurance plan. That means routing visits and fillings, etc., are covered 100%. She billed us, though. But she waited until over a year went by so that the "bill" had accumulated to nearly $500. Only then did we receive our first bill, marked past due, and payment expected immediately. It was the first we heard we owed anything... and if we had known right away that a bill was going to come, we never would have continued to see her! Plus, I am not even sure this is legal since she is a participating provider for our insurance, which means she accepts their payments and does not bill beyond that. There is no out-of-pocket for us if we use our network dentists. I feel that money was extorted from us, with the threat that if we did not pay, it would go to a collection agency and ruin our credit. DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr. Miresmaili and the hygienist still admonished me (at one point they even threatened gum disease!), but they did so in a much more enjoyable manner than any other dentist I have known. Perhaps that is because they are much younger...giving the impression of knowing all the new technology. They also seemed to know what I really wanted at the dentist before I did: an Ipod to ward off the drill sounds and sunglasses to dampen the glare. And to top it all off, my insurance covered everything. Five Stars.
