I can't say enough about Sawmill pottery. If you have very considered taking classes I would enthusiastically say DO IT! The environment is so fun and encouraging. The classes are relaxed and you most certainly do not need to have any prior exprience with clay to take classes there. I started taking classes two years ago and it was really one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have had so much fun there and I just can't say enough good things about Sawmill. Or if you are just looking for a special gift for a special someone come on in and pick out something awesome!

I used to believe that a cup was a cup, a bowl was a bowl, and a plate a plate. Never did it occur to me that the thin, warped, plastic dishes that sufficed during my college years might somehow have become outdated or inadequate. Never that is, until I discovered the enchanting wares available at Sawmill Pottery. The difference is hard to understand until you hold a handmade, one of a kind, quality drinking vessel in your own hands. They might even seem to develop personalities as each dish begins to garner a special place in your heart. Go in and see for yourself what a spectacular difference some of these quality wares can make in your cupboard, I doubt you'll be able to leave without some potter of your own, I know I never can.

There's something for everyone at this pottery workshop and store. Not only is the shop home to some gifted and creative artisans, but, a wealth of workshops is available for all ages and talent levels. We attended a presentation by Larry Elardo entitled, "Sculptures That Work" yesterday evening and were delighted by his pieces as well as the selection of pieces on sale at the store. If you're into knitting, there are some great glazed buttons here too. This is a must stop for original gifts, birthday party planning, or simple inspiration. We look forward to our next visit.
