I love this place! The food was delicious, the place is so clean and new looking, and all of the staff which I believe is mostly family, are friendly courteous and helpful! Just a tiny little note, a couple of people with me thought that the prices were just a little more than they are elsewhere even during the happy hour. However I still would give it five stars and I still would go back
Great new place on Lantana Rd...huge tasty portions and a nice menu..ice cold draft beer...you won't be disappointed...
I recommend Saxies for great food, good vibe and the staff is friendly and attentive. I have tried the pork chop, the wonton shrimp skewers, the onion rings, the burger, fries and the fish and chips. No complaints. Stop in and give them some love.
Went last minute after work and bc we were a group of more that 25 so they set us up on a large table in the back which gave us privacy and a great ambiance which isn't always easy to do with large groups but they made it work. Kevin our waiter was so friendly and sweet!! He was SUPER patient even though not all of our party arrived at once more like over the span of an hour-EEK but Kevin and Saxie's Management treated us awesomely and took our orders as everyone trickled in. The vibe was chill but still allowed us to socialize even walk around if we wanted. So it was nice after a long week of hard work to be able to unwind. Most everything is made to order from scratch so compliments to the Chef!! They gave us a pre-selected menu not the full version so that's the reason for the 4 stars- I would've like a few more options. I ordered the french onion soup which was worth the wait, slightly on the salty side but I like salty for the most part so no complaints here and it had so many layers of flavor I feel like it got better as I ate it. Then for my entrée I ordered the Ceasar salad w/ Salmon. The salmon was made well while having a fresh flavor not fishy at all which at times salmon can be- this tasted fresh and the Ceasar salad was very good, the sweet romaine was cut in bite-size pieces and tossed in the perfect amount of dressing and homemade croutons that somehow were crisp on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside and fresh shaven parmesean cheese that added the right amount of extra creaminess. A friend at the table had fresh cut french fries with his Philly Cheesteak and shared them with me and my brother-in-law and they were cut perfectly/ cooked perfectly/ and were overall delicious w/ just a little salt and ketchup to dip sometimes less is more! Everyones food there was 25+ in our party looked great and pretty much everyone said their food was wonderful. Multiple people ordered the wings that allow you to choose from like 8 homemade tossing sauces to choose from btw so I ended up ordering bbq wings to go along w/ a side of hand-cut homemade fries they looked so delicious. Can't wait for lunch tomorrow! Oh, almost forgot-When my co-worker/gf first got there we wanted to unwind faster than usual so we ordered one of their drink specials. It was called Blue Lagoon or Blue something and it was good...nothing spectacular but wasn't bad and did the trick. A little expensive but everything is at this point so I would give another star had the drink been less $$ / Larger size drink or maybe offer some sort of happy hour with app specials. Oh, my BIL ordered a pistachio strawberry shortcake desert w/ a scoop of ice cream and it looked devine. Multiple ppl tried it and said it was delicious and everyone loved their bread pudding also...I would definitely go every other week or maybe every week to meet up with my gf's . Anyway, DEFINITELY give this place a try and help a local business out bc they try to buy local and then are in turn helping even more local businesses out!! I wish I would've taken pics of everything but in a good way my phone was in my purse and I was just enjoying the food/drinks/company. I did manage to take one pic of his dessert! Sorry for the long review but it was definitely worth it!
They have really made the place a 1000 times better. The food was great. Try the quesadillas and the shrimp risotto!! I really love that it is family run. Im all about supporting really good local business. We look forward to going back again.
My adult kids and recently went for dinner and we’re so impressed with the food and service. Their short rib quesadillas are excellent. Btw the shrimp and risotto was outstanding. The place looks great from the remodeling they did. We will be back.
Lunch of a pulled-pork sandwich with sweet potato fries excelled above anything I've experienced in the area. The menu is great. I will be back to sample more of it.
I went in here last Tuesday night at 7:15 with my 2 work girlfriends. There wasn't anything on any of the tables. No salt & pepper shakers. No menus. No silverwear. Nothing. There wasn't anyone in the bar at all or in the dining room areas as well. We should have walked but I wanted to give this place a chance because there really aren't any casual, inexpensive, bars/restaurants to stop at between East Lantana and 95. We need more places to eat or to have a drink in this area. We stayed and gave the place a chance. One of my girlfriend's ordered chicken tenders and she said that they weren't good. My other friend ordered a salad with fish and she said that it was: "meh". I ordered the chicken nachos. I noticed that the chicken was missing and that the nachos were cold so I told the woman waiting on us. I gave them back to her to have them fixed and she went back to the kitchen and the cook told her that: "THE KITCHEN WAS CLOSED". I just stared at her. Seriously? Then cook came out of the kitchen and I just stared at them both. He could have just popped them in a microwave for all I cared. Can't do that for a person who came to support YOUR restaurant? It was 8 pm. Closed? Really? We were out the door at 8:15. Maybe you people don't like gay people sprinkled in your life. I had 2 drinks and left hungry. Never again.
I can't tell you enough how much I love this place the vibe is amazing the people are amazing the food is amazing bartenders are on point with making drinks. It's the new hangout spot for me prices are reasonable come check them out you won't be disappointedFood: 5/5
Food is always so delicious! When I found out they fly their rolls in from Philadelphia for their cheesesteaks I was instantly sold. This is the place you want to be whether it’s having beer and wings at the bar or enjoying their shrimp risotto which is UNBELIEVABLE at a table. This was my 2nd time here and I was celebrating my birthday with both of my parents their birthdays were recent as well we felt so taken care of the whole time and could not get enough of the food. Cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back!!
