We dined here at perhaps the busiest night all year. I have to shout out the Hostesses and Waitress for making the best of the situation. The staff here go above and beyond their jobs. The food is outta this world. Look, popular places are tough to get into because they're the best of the best. Sayulita was no different. It was packed during the holidays; Rightfully so. Food, Service, and Ambience is 5 star . I would happily go back and wait a long time for what we got in the end. 5 star establishment across the board.... it started with the hostess; they deserve raises for going above and beyond
Some of the best Mexican food around hands down! Great options from tacos to fajitas and enchiladas.....cocktails are always well made and the desserts are as well if you still have room . If it's nice out definitely try to get there soon as it opens tho, but even if it's at capacity you can still have your food and margaritas outside
The best restaurant in CT. Yes, you have to wait but the food and service is worth it. Sit at the bar, it's the best seat in the house! The tacos are amazing and the jalapeno margs are fresh and taste unbelievable. Everything is fresh, how can you beat that?! Do yourself a favor and get the queso and if you love ribs, they are fantastic! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Always a special and excellent experience at Sayulita. Still hands down the best Mexican food I've had and the drinks are exceptional. I got the blood orange margarita special and it was worth it. It's a small place and the wait can be tough especially on weekends, but always worth it especially the scallop taco. Dietary restrictions: I'm Celiac and they have so many gluten-free options, from the tamales and enchiladas to the corn taco shells although some of the taco fillings aren't GF, many are.
Definitely one of the best choices in glastonbury. Drink prices are average and delicious. I have only had tacos here but everything coming out of the kitchen looks amazing. My only complaint is size and price point of the tacos. I rather have a slightly smaller taco for $3 and order more verity, then just 2 larger tacos for $5 and change.
The food was great. One of the best nacho chips I had in a long time. The desserts were great as well. I wish there were more veg options . But overall loved it.
I arrived at noon because they open at 1:00. Small restaurant and by the time they opened, some would have to wait to get in. I had to ask for napkins which makes no sense since I ordered a finger food. I find this phenomenon common. Great atmosphere, great music,, great service and awesome manager/hostess. I got the special of the day, fried oyster taco with all the right ingredients and way over stuffed. Over stuffed is good, however, the soft shell is hard not to over stuff, still, lots of filling. I also got the fried shrimp and fried Brussel Sprouts taco, so fresh and tasty. I then ordered a chorizo tamale but got the shredded chicken tamale, I ate half of it and they brought me the chorizo. The tamale was good but I don't recommend the chorizo tamale, too much cornbread, not enough chorizo, although, thats the nature of a tamale. I'm definitely going back, everything i ordered today was top shelf and there's too much I want to try on their relatively small menu. They should have a chorizo taco, they have the chorizo tamale so they've got the ingredients. Just saying.
Flavored in every taste top notch! Tried the pork melts in your mouth. Mushroom enchilada with pesto sauce and the lobster enchilada mouth watering. Ask for steak with the mushroom and make it like a cheese steak style munch. Mucho gusto! Probably best Mexican in region.
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered salsa flight, two tacos, and chicken flautas. The salsa was very tasty, I particularly liked the fruit ones. The flautas were good until dipped into the creme sauce. That took them up to a whole new level. And the two tacos were excellent. Everything had great flavor. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.2.
I’d highly recommend eating here. The wait was 45 plus minutes but in the end the tacos were incredible. My fiancé and I tried 6 different kinds along with a tamale. All of them were great. I’d recommend the queso dip as its only 3$ and may be the best queso I’ve ever had. To be honest I normally don’t even like queso. Well done!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
