"Scarpetta is LDV Hospitality’s signature restaurant concept that first launched in New York’s Meatpacking District. The Italian expression, “fare la scarpetta,” describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak up the remaining sauce left in the pot of one’s home kitchen.The restaurant’s name is derived from this familial gesture and represents the indulgent pleasure of savoring a meal down to its very last taste. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for ‘Best New Restaurant in America’ as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times."

Exceptional dining experience. A well decorated restaurant, dimly lit with an inviting warm charm. Our service was impeccable. We all found the menu to be an exciting offering of italain dishes with a modern spin. Each of our dishes was beautifully plated and packed with delicious flavors. The bread selection was some of the best breads we've ever enjoyed. A great restaurant to celebrate any occasion, large or small. A great date night restaurant also.
Came here for my birthday with a reservation through CapitalOne Dining Club, which provides some benefits. We were seated immediately at a cozy table for 2. The service was excellent. Our server was prompt and friendly, and gave us a free appetizer AND and extra little pour of wine to my glass, a very nice surprise! I think this is what comes with the Dining Club reservation. They are known for their handmade pasta so we got the spaghetti marinara and the bone marrow tortellini. The latter was special with good flavor and something crispy sprinkled on it, delicious. Overall a nice meal and enjoyed the perks with the Dining Club, albeit pricey.
Came here for a birthday dinner with a group of ten was was a great experience. Started off with an amazing bread basket with focaccia and what seemed to be a ham and cheese roll. I tried my best to not get filled up with bread. The octopus appetizer was so good, with the meat so tender and flavorful. Had a variety of entrees including cod, duck, multiple pastas. Everything was delicious with high quality ingredients.
A nice restaurant with quiet atmosphere and excellent service. Staff were polite and professional. I wish the bathroom was more accessible, I almost got lost looking for it even with directions. The food was delicious but I would have liked it served warmer. The complimentary bread basket comes with two pieces of stromboli, two pieces of focaccia, and a piece of rustic bread. My only complaint is that the chocolate cake being a lava cake was not communicated well on the menu. I strongly dislike lava cake and this one did not change my opinion. I recently dined at Scarpetta and had a delightful experience overall. The restaurant's atmosphere was charming and inviting. I opted for the pasta tasting menu, and each dish was exceptional, showcasing authentic Italian flavors. However, the air conditioning was a bit too strong, making it slightly uncomfortable at times. Despite this, the quality of the food and the ambiance made for an enjoyable evening, and I would definitely return.

Great restaurant. Service at the highest level. A larger selection of wines than at the international fair in Milan. Will I come back? I already did. Such a lovely restaurant. The lighting is dark and fitting for a romantic dinner. Went here for my anniversary and the staff was so welcoming and celebratory for us. The chocolate cake is so amazing- as is the pasta dishes. I forget what I ordered I think it had truffle? but it was so amazing. Can’t wait to come back!Food: 5/5
The service at Scarpetta was outstanding and incredibly attentive. The vibe was also perfect for a date night, or an upscale dinner with family or friends. I would highly the ravioli entree and espresso dessert. The only thing to keep in mind is that the dishes are small for the price — we ended up ordering one extra dish at the end. Vegetarian options: The menu is about 30% vegetarian, which enough options to order multiple dishes for two people. As two vegetarians we weren’t disappointed.
