Official home to Owen Schmitt. The saloon not only represents him, but the entire state of West Virginia.

Story

The Saloon is a showcase of everything West Virginia. The entire place is basically made of stuff from West Virginia. The booths are made of barn wood from barns in Preston, Monongalia, and Marion counties. The bar is made from Oak flooring from an old house in Brandonville, WV. The team hired local artist Scott Frederick to complete the task.

Schmitt's Saloon features some of the top acts nationally and locally. A few of the artist that have played include Ronnie Dunn, Craig Morgan, Tyler Farr, Chris Janson, Parmalee, Phil Vassar, and many more.

I was disappointed by my experience here because I had such high hopes for the place. Firstly the food was great so I appreciate that, but we waited about an hour and a half to get a burger, 6 wings, and a pepperoni roll. The staff gave an apology when they brought our food out, but that was it- no warning, no explanation...We just waited anxiously and hoping it would be soon. So after 2 hours of sitting in a stool without a backrest, I'll admit I was a pretty grumpy fella.

We were visiting from out of state this weekend and this was our first stop! Our first meal (starter: pepperoni rolls/entree: crispy chicken salad) the food was fantastic!! We literally went NOWHERE else for our meals but Schmitt's! Wings (garlic butter flavored paired with incredible French fries) were for lunch. Dinner was a burger that was perfection! We come from the Philadelphia area where there is no shortage of our love for food so we know GOOD food when we have some! :) Do yourself a favor....GO!!

Amazing food. The BFG wings are the best in Morgantown. Hardest hot wing challenge that I've ever done in my life. Next to impossible if you ask for the original hotness level of the wing challenge!

This place is amazing has a lot of good entertainment and the service is phenomenal. Definitely a must visit establishment.

Loved it. After the last WVU game of the season we went there with 12 people and the place was packed. Owen himself setup a table for us and a table for another large group. The food was good. I will go back.
