We came for the crab cake. The flavor and quality met expectations but the size for the price was disappointing. More meat than breading, which is always great. The steak was cooked well and portioned as advertised. Other food items ordered were of good quality but again, portions were disappointing and the flavor did not exist. Salt and pepper, liberally applied, were a required addition. The bread basket did not disappoint. Overall, we wouldn't be pressed to return for any of the above. Our server Andie was great and attentive. Kid-friendliness: Decent kids menu, my daughter was happiest with the granny smith apples as her side and the warm bread.

Overall pleasant experience today at lunch. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was clean and well lit. Menu had excellent selection of traditional seafood and American dishes. Good came out quickly and was cooked to our liking. The 3 fish tacos with fries were an excellent value $17 with good sized portion of fresh fish balanced with crunchy cabbage. The 4oz crab cake was good with little to no filler, but @ $19.95 was not quite the value I typically look for. Wedge salad was LOADED with blue cheese crumbles which I adore and was a larger portion than it looked, likely due to the large plate it was served on. Would definitely go back when in the area, and likely would not make a special trip for it.
Can I give 6 stars? Absolutely fabulous if you love lump crab. The crab cake is 7 ounces of delicious perfectly prepared fresh lump crab with a teeny amount of filler so it holds together. $40 and for my money worth every penny. Split a CUP of crab soup and we both received what I would consider a bowl. Delicious! Lots of crab. Warm sour dough bread. Caesar salad ok. Wonderful service. If I'm ever in the area again this is a destination.
We had a great meal at Schula's. We started with the Muscles, which were served in a delicious broth. The bread is dangerously delicious. Our drinks were kept full. The Ceasars salad was crisp and served in an oblong bowl. Our entrees of fried scallops and stuffed flounder were really tasty, served hot and plated nicely. The waitress Donna was excellent, with just the right amount of attention. She was always there when we wanted anything. Overall, a great dinner with excellent service in a nice atmosphere.
We met family halfway and went to Schula's for lunch. The lunch menu was a lot less items but we all found something we liked. My brother in law said the crabcake was really good. My husband loved the fried cod sandwich. I loved the fettuccini alfredo although it had a little too much salt. I am not sure what the other 2 had but I know they enjoyed their meals. Would definitely go again!
Great seafood selections, along with steaks and chicken entree's. The chicken cordon bleu, topped with crab meat was very good as was the streamed shrimp. The bread was fresh baked and the desserts were very delicious. The views from the outdoor patio aren't great, but outdoor seating is always a welcome change.Food: 5/5
We were driving through Hagerstown on a road trip and stopped at this restaurant. By far the best choice! Absolutely fabulous service and food. Our waitress, Donna, was such a ray of sunshine. Made the experience even better. She recommended the best choices on the menu. Highly highly recommend this place and will be back! Parking: Tons of space, parking was no issue Kid-friendliness: Great environment for kids, large tables, plenty of space. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and large entryway
The waitress Amanda was “hospitality plus”. I was curious about Schula’s, she gave us a history that is a lovely story. She knew the menu and helped us with our selections. The food was a full 5 star also. The crab cake and wedge salad were delicious. Presentation was very nice. We had appetizers, and took home deserts. Wine prices were very affordable. My favorite dining experience in several years! Highly recommend.
Schula's was amazing. My gf & i made reservations highly recommendedon a Saturday night and we were extremely happy that we did. Our waitress was awesome. She was friendly and very helpful. We got the Crab & Artichoke dip as an appetizer and we both got the Chicken Chesapeake. For dessert we split the chocolate cheesecake & ice cream. The Crab dip was very flavorful and delicious. The chicken Chesapeake was juicy, full of flavor and the old bay cream sauce was amazing. I normally don't do desserts at restaurants but The chocolate Cheesecake was easily the best i have ever had. Very rich, light and the mixture of regular chocolate cake and Cheesecake mixed excellently. Definitely go by Schula's. The menu has something for everyone and trust me... get the chocolate Cheesecake
