The consideration of any operation is unsettling but Dr. Scott M Porter, a Davis orthopedist, listened to my concerns, answered my questions and gave me hope that I would have a better quality of life after replacing my disabling, arthritic joint. Replacement of my right hip has given me the same range of motion in my hip joint as when I was 25, without the grinding complaints of the worn out hip. I attribute Dr. Porter’s precise surgical skill to my quick recovery. From admission to release, the Sutter Hospital team made my operation safe, caring and pleasant.
Eight months after Dr. Porter’s total hip replacement of one hip, I have scheduled a replacement of the other. He’s my choice for a total hip replacement.
