Scottsburg Senior High School, also known as Scottsburg High School or SHS, is located in Scottsburg, Indiana, approximately 30 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. Scottsburg High School is a public four-year secondary school accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school has 51 professional staff members, with over 95% having obtained at least a master's degree. The school has a graduation rate of 85.6%, attendance rate of 95.9%, and 25% of students earn an Indiana Core 40 Diploma with academic honorsAcademicsScottsburg Senior High School has a core curriculum made up of subjects in Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. Students are required to take 3 years of math, 4 years of English, 3 years of science, Geography/ World History, U.S. History or American Studies, Economics, Government, Careers, Computer Applications, at least 2 years of a foreign language, 1 year of physical education, and a fine arts requirement, among other things.Scottsburg High School has two paths of study within the curriculum. High Schools That Work and New Tech paths that students choose to follow while at SHS. Students of either program may take AP or Dual Credit courses offered.
