Boo at the zoo was a lot of fun. Decent animals.  Not great. But the train is cool for the kids.

Wonderful zoo and playground.  They need slightly longer business hours though.  If you don't arrive an hour before closing time they won't let you in!? But it's not displayed online anywhere.  Very sad kiddos :(

Scovill park in Decatur is one of the most beatiful spots around. Located on the shores of Lake Decatur it offers a kid friendly playground, a varity of scupltures a zoo in season and picnicking places. I love this park!

Scovill really does a great job! The zoo is always clean and there are a number of animals! I am a Chicago native and being so have two great zoo options. I visited Scovill with my kids a number of times and it has always been enjoyable.

This is a very good place for small children to go and enjoy multiple types of animals. There is even a petting zoo section with various types of animals, not just common farm animals. It may not be a very large Zoo, but it is still good quality Kama as a train ride that goes around the park, and also has a gift shop.
