Wildly impressed at this cute little place. My boyfriend and I drove 30 minutes out of the way to get here based solely on the reviews and I will say I’m glad we did. We got the Baja fish tacos, cauliflower tacos, street corn in a cup, and my bf had the cheeseburger crunch wrap. As the pescatarian of the 2 of us, my favorite was probably the cauliflower tacos. Crazy flavor. There’s a wall of hot sauces to try and available for purchase. My favorite was The General’s Grunt Green hot sauce. Happy to say this is our new taco spot and can’t wait to come back!

What can I say? I'll travel anywhere for really good tacos. Lucky for me I don't have to go very far because right around the corner, in Maplewood, is a fantastic taco spot: this one. We've ordered from here a number of times and they are just so good. We've tried every taco available, their quesadilla, they're cheeseburger crunch wrap which is to die for and their  side of corn and frijoles which we always get. These are seriously one of our favorite spots to eat!!

Great staff and great food. Came here on a whim after going golfing with friends. Small joint that picks a lot of punch. I got the Hawaiian fish taco, jerk chicken taco, totchos and empanadas. They were all excellent. The jerk chicken was a bit salty but had excellent spice. The tortilla fell apart on the fish taco. Toppings were probably on the wet side. Empanadas we’re awesome and the totchos were huge. Definitely will be back to try more items.

I was in the mood for some tacos and decided to try this restaurant. I called in my order of cajun shrimp tacos. When I arrived I parked nearby in the train station lot. I walked in and told the young lady I was there for a pick up. My food was ready and I paid about $16 for 3 tacos. When I got home I dug in and the tacos weren't bad at all. The only thing I didn't care for was the actual tortilla was a bit hard. Not sure if it was flour or corn. That was the only issue but the actual seasoning of everything was pretty good and light. I would try other tacos at this location.

Scratch taco is a Mexican themed joint for a quick taco dinner or bowl. I ordered the Baja tacos which were tasty and came 3 for 15.99. The available sides range from traditional rice, beans and chips to corn, dirty rice and taco rolls. The establishment was clean and lightly decorated for Halloween. The Baja fish tacos were served on flour tortillas with a cabbage slaw on top and a tasty, creamy sauce. The tacos were tasty. On the other hand, this establishment does, unfortunately, practice disingenuous marketing practices. Both the menu posted on the front door and the menu inside do not reflect the real prices. All of the tacos are priced at $12 but there is a +4 charge for fish as well as short rib which is not disclosed to the guest until they pay. Additionally, if you don’t ask for your receipt you will remain ignorant of the actual price you paid. Please update your menu so as to be fully transparent to your supportive guests.

Delicious! I had the Cajun shrimp taco, Ground Beef taco, and the Barbacoa Short Rib taco and OMG it was so good the taco seasoned fries with the queso is amazing as well.

Awesome eatery and vibe! The owners are very  friendly. Love their hot sauce !! I got the general’s hots sauce and scorpion disco. Can’t wait to go back .

I have no idea how I live in the area and never tried tacos or burritos here! Shame on me because I’m hooked after experiencing heaven in my mouth! Delicious food! The burritos are just spectacular and the tacos beat any other tacos in our area! Go have a lunch or dinner! So, so good!

I had the shrimp tacos and the crunch wrap and they were everything I needed them to be. Great flavor, texture and service. I can’t wait to keep going back to try more. I think these are the best tacos I’ve had in the SOMA area.

The best tacos in Maplewood, truly. But on several occasions have ordered online through the website, waited an hour to give them plenty of time, and then I show up and they say the order never went through. I'm mostly posting this review to stand up for the high schoolers who work the counter and for the kitchen. Management needs to do something so the stress isn't on the team members who are doing their best given the circumstances.
