This location is a time capsule waiting for a movie to be filmed here. Every item on every shelf in every part of the store is properly faced, and the only empty spaces are behind the products diligently lined up at the front edge of the shelves. And this was at 3:00 on a busy Saturday afternoon, not at the store's opening on a sleepy Sunday. If this isn't the chain's flagship, it must at least be the Best Practices store.
If you’re looking for the best store to bike to this may be it. Unsure about parking for cars Clean facility-just easy to get turned around some. Friendly staff, if I can help it next time I may skip a full size cart due to the crowds. Great selection! Reasonably priced and centrally located.
Customer service is awful. My friend left her insulated water bottle in the bathroom without realizing until they were closed. I called customer service at 10:30 about it and they said I have to pick it up in the morning and I said ok. The next morning we call customer service again to make sure they have it. They said they couldn't find it and probably threw it away last night. I know a stranger didn't take it because we all left 5 minutes before close. Another friend of mine had a similar situation happen to them. I don't understand why they would throw it away after they were made aware of the situation.
I've been to a lot of Publix stores I mean who hasn't and this is, undoubtedly, the worst one in Orange county. Even compared to the colonial town/mills 50 Publix. HOWEVER: it still succeeds at being a Publix, but barely. The pharmacy is there and works great. Customer service is still excellent in that patented Publix way. Meat and in-house quality is still on par with every other Publix regardless of what your opinion is on Publix quality these days. This location's biggest flaws is the noticeably limited item selection and bonkers deli setup. The item limitations are understandable - I don't think I've seen a smaller Publix. And I've never not been able to get my usual staples. But about once a month I'm disappointed to find this Publix simply doesn't carry something a larger, more suburban Publix surely carries. Empty shelves are an issue, but as of this writing that's not unique to this store. It's truly a matter of specific items just being outright unavailable. The deli is crowded during lunch rush: no surprise there. But the cramped aisle it lives in creates chaos. No rope line or any other sort of demarcation has been provided to shepherd people in and out. I imagine this is a conscious decision from management, but still. C'mon. This Publix is a boon to downtown Orlando or a monopoly, depending on how you look at it because it's the only full grocery store for at least a couple miles in any direction. Walking here makes it so easy to come and go, and they try hard to include everything demanded in a full Publix. It'll never be perfect, given it's a small location and has downtown foot traffic, but I'm not convinced it can't be reorganized into a more efficient layout.
I just wanted to share and say thank you to the cashier who rung us out this morning. We had just been told that my daughter could not be seen by a dentist during her appt time bc my son was there with us.Single parent so we all go everywhere together. They wouldn’t allow him to come into the room. So we walked around the lake and went to the Publix there to pick up a few things for dinner. I wish I had caught her name, the cashier was on the first register near the front door. She saw my son wanting to help put the groceries on the belt and invited him to help her with them. He was so excited and really enjoyed his moment as a Publix cashier. If the store sees this, please thank her again for us. She really made his day and mine! It’s so great to meet such kind and caring people.
Worst Publix I’ve been too. They have no inventory. I’ve bought rotten fruit here several times. The staff can be rude as well. For whatever reason the cashiers rush you. I’m not even slow. I always have my payment ready and have a system as far as carrying my bags. The only positive is its location. It is a 3 minute walk from my building so if I forget something or just want more wine I love that I don’t have to drive anywhere. If you’re visiting the park it’s perfect if you just need to pop in for a few things, otherwise…I honestly would rather go to Super Target.
Love the Halloween deco they were already putting up in mid September.
Beware of rude, aggressive and inappropriate employees in the morning at this Publix. If you dare to use their restroom, an employee may grill you on whether you need to go #1 or #2, or worse, another employee may follow you after entering the only restroom stall available. The store opens at 7am, but their restrooms apparently are not open until 7:30am. So heaven forbid a customer need to use a restroom in the morning. This is not where shopping is a pleasure. I have never felt so harassed and humiliated.
Love the chicken.... All flavors. Then the park is right there. Serene LAKE EOLA! Great location... Access to a lot of attractions.
Member named Cahandra at this location “working” at the Pub Sub station has a disgusting attitude, extremely lax during hours of operation, and a slick mouth that’s bound to get her in trouble. Just yesterday this location made an announcement of them running out of bread???? Came back today early to attempt to finally order, and I was being “too extra” by requesting a toasted sub with avocado needed from the produce section because they hadn’t had it to begin with, even though an avocado addition is very clearly available on the menu. Before Cahandra was huffing and puffing whilst customizing and topping my sub, I’d been instructed to wait 45mins-1hr for a fresh batch of chicken tenders to be pulled and used as my preferred protein. Cahandra should come correct & reflect on the way she speaks, her attitude, and the reality of her in fact in a hair net slicing sweaty meats & cheeses on the clock at her place of work before making sly remarks and under the breath comments that’ll eventually cost her her job. My free sub tasted absolutely amazing though. Shoutout Colleen.
