Your Marina on Florida’s Big Bend!

Sea Hag Marina is one of the largest full service marinas on Florida’s Big Bend. Located at Marker 47 on the Steinhatchee River, Sea Hag is also the closest marina to the Gulf of Mexico in the area. We are accessible by car from either SR51 (from the panhandle and South Georgia) or CR358 (from Gainesville and all points south). Both roads intersect US19 just a few miles to our east. I think if you rent a lodge, there should be discount for other things like renting the boats. The lodge we stayed in was big enough but was in need of repairs badly, soft spots in the floors, boards covering up who knows in the bathroom, kitchen cabinets falling apart (just old ), stove missing knobs, the stove shelves we're in backwards, sliding glass doors didn't lock, furniture ripped and couch had no legs. The master bedroom I didn't go in my son and wife were in there. The whole room was badly need of a remodel. Thank goodness we weren't in the room much. The rest of the place was nice and the view off of the balcony was great. I wish we were allowed to have been able to look at some of the empty lodges but the lady at the front desk said look on the website. That doesn't show the real story of the room. I spoke with another person who stayed in one of the trailers and she said it was a let down. I will ask to stay in the newer ones next time but I don't think they have another that will hold 10 people. We enjoyed our fishing and caught a bunch. Had a great time.

What a quaint place! If you are looking for a perfect spot for scalloping, this is it! Will definitely be back next season. Kitchy tiny house style accommodations, nice marina, boat docks, and bait shop all on property.

We rent a boat from the Sea Hag every summer to go scalloping. It's the closest marina to the bay, shortest minimum wake distance to open water, easily accessible docking. Attentive dock workers, fair prices, and fully equipped boats. The scallops are big and plentiful too!

Great place to base your visit at, accommodations are excellent, they have supplies and services you would expect for a full service marina and resort. Staff is knowledge, friendly and helpful. Clean, neat and organized.

We had a great trip. Came down to check out this place. Would love to come back to go scalloping. We stayed in the Red Snapper Shack. Most of these are older Shacks. But we were very comfortable. We found some good places to eat,, Who Dat restaurant,, Fiddler's and Whitey's!! Very nice little fishing town!!
